Introduction
Organiseme has one default task board listed in the main menu: My Task Board. In this task board you can manage all your tasks from all your task lists - or you specify to display only tasks from some or even one task list. Yet due to this flexibility to manage tasks from multiple task lists the My Task Board cannot be shared with others. Also you might want to categorize tasks from one task list in a different way then in the My Task Board. Therefore Organiseme enables you to create:
On this page the creation of a shared task board is described. Create shared task board
In order to create a new shared task board you need to move the mouse above the My Task Board entry in the main menu. Then a plus icon '+' will appear, as shown in the following screenshot. Please note that in the screenshot there is one shared task list names 'Business'. ![]() When clicking on the '+' icon the Create new Task Board dialog box will appear where you need to specify whether you want to share the new task board with Contacts or a Team - or whether you want to use this new task board just for you (which you can still share later). Select thew upper option to create a shared new task board and then click on the 'Next' button. ![]() Now you need to specify whether the new task board should be:
Please note that this step will only be presented when you have at least one shared task list for which there has been no task board created. In case no such task list exist this step will be skipped. Create shared task board based on existing task list
In case you want to create the task board based on a task list you need to select the task list from the pop-up menu. In this example the 'Business' shared task list is shown in the pop-up menu. When you have taken your selection click again on the 'Next' button. ![]() Now the dialog box closes and a task board will be displayed. Based on the selection that the task board will be created on an existing task list the name of the task board has been copied from this task list. Also the tasks of the task list are displayed in the non-categorized coloumn on the left. There is a shared icon displayed, indicating that this is a shared task board. You can start now to assign the tasks to the different categories / columns - or you can edit the categorize / column labels before. ![]() When clicking on the shared icon a pop-up menu appears where all the contacts are listed which whom the task board is shared. ![]() When clicking on the 'Share Settings' entry on the bottom of the pop-up menu (or when selecing 'Share board' in the task board menu) the following dialog box will be opened, where all contacts or team members, with whom the task board is shared are also listed. In case the task board is shared with contacts then it is possible to stop sharing with individual contacts. Or to share the task board with further contacts. In case the task board is shared with a team then this is not possible - as in the screenshot below. For a team it is only possible to stop the sharing with the complete team - or to close the dialog box without any change. In case you want to share a shared task board (or task list) with another person this person needs to become a member of the team - and then the task board shared with the team are automatically shared with this person. ![]() Create fresh shared task board
When you want to create a fresh new shared task board in order to create new tasks click on the lower option and then on the 'Next' button. ![]() Now another dialog box is displayed where you need to enter the name of the new shared task board. Once you're done click on the 'Next' button. ![]() Finally there is another dialog box where you need to select the persons you want to share the task board with. You have two options:
When you want to share the task board with a team you need to select the team from the drop-down menu where all the teams listed for which you are the administrator When you want to share the task board with one or several of your contacts you need to click on the check box for each contact. Note: The team option is only offered when you are the administrator of a team. In case you have no team and no contacts in Organiseme a dialog box will be shown, guiding you to get contacts first before you can share a task board. Once you have selected the team or the contacts please click on the 'Next' button. ![]() Now the dialog box closes and a new task board will be displayed with the name just entered. Beside the three default task board categorise (To-Be Done - In Progress - Done) the task board is empty, so there are no tasks displayed in the non-categorized coloumn on the left. The 'Shared' icon indicates that this is a shared task board. When clicking on the shared icon and opening the 'Shared board' dialog box you can see the persons the task board is shared with. In the example here the task board has been shared with contacts, so you are always able to share the task board with further contacts - or to stop sharing the board with individual contacts. You can start to create new tasks in one of the categories / columns - or you can edit the categorize / column labels before. ![]() Please note that in addition to the new task board a corresponding task list has been automatically created with the same name. All tasks created in the task board are also part of the task list - and vice versa. Task boards listed in main menu
When closing the new task board you will find the name of the task board in the main menu underneath the 'My Task Board' entry. By clicking on the name of the task board the task board will be opened again. And since the task board was not created on an existing task list a new corresponding task list was automatically created. ![]() |
