Manage Task Boards

Each task board except the default 'My Task Board' has a task board menu that provides the following options:

  • Rename board
  • Download board
  • Share board
  • Delete task board
Rename task board

When you select this option in the task board menu then a dialog box will be opened where you can edit the current task board name - or change it completely. Please note that also the name of the corresponding task list will be changed accordingly.

Download task board

In case you want to download all the tasks of the task board you need to select the 'Download board' option. This is identical to downloading the tasks of the corresponding task list. When you have already connected you Organiseme account with Google Sheet in the settings then the download directly starts. This is indicated by the snack bar at the bottom.

Once the tasks are downloaded the 'View' option in the snack bar turns active. When clicking on 'View' a new browser window will open where the Google Sheet document with a table of all the tasks from the task board / task listis displayed.

In case you have not yet connected Google Sheet with your Organiseme account a dialog box will appear. Please follow the steps to connect with Google Sheet in the settings, as explained here.

Initiate sharing of task board

When you want to share a task board that is currently not shared you need to select the 'Share board' entry. Then a dialog box appears where you have two options:

  • Option 1: Share task board with a team
  • Option 2: Share task board with contacts

Note: The team option is only offered when you are the administrator of a team. In case you have no team and no contacts in Organiseme a dialog box will be shown, guiding you to get contacts first before you can share a task board.

Share a task board either with a team or with contacts

When you want to share the task board with a team you need to select the team from the drop-down menu where all the teams listed for which you are the administrator

When you want to share the task board with one or several of your contacts you need to click on the check box for each contact.

When you select the 'Share board' entry for a task board that is already shared with a team the following dialog box will appear:

In case the task board is shared with a team it is only possible to stop the sharing with the complete team - or to close the dialog box without any change. In case you want to share a shared task board (or task list) with another person this person needs to become a member of the team - and then the task board shared with the team are automatically shared with this person.

Task Board shared with Contacts

When you select the 'Share board' entry for a task board that is already shared with one or several contacts the following dialog box will appear:

There the following options exist:

  • Stop sharing with individual contacts: By clicking on the small cross on the right side of a contact you can stop sharing the task board with this contact.
  • Share with further contacts: In case you have further contacts then these are listed in the lower part of the dialog box. By selecting the check box you can share the task board with additional one or several contacts.
Delete task board

Finally for deleting a task board you need to select the 'Delete board' entry. Then a dialog box with a warning message appears. Only after confirming the deletion the task board and all of its tasks will be deleted Please note that also the corresponding task list and all it's tasks will be automatically deleted.
