Introduction
With the integration of Organiseme with Google Calendar all Organiseme tasks with a due date are synchronized to Google Calendar and displayed in the top row as all-day tasks. You can edit tasks in Google Calendar or mark them as complete - all changes will be synchronized to Organiseme. You can even create new tasks - also they will automatically be added in Organiseme. In the following is described how to edit the different elements of an Organiseme task in Google Calendar. How to add a new task are described here. ![]() View details of task
In order to see the details of a task in Google Calendar you need to click on the task. Then a dialog box opens where the task description, due date, task note and the task list are displayed. ![]() Initiate editing of task
In order to edit any of the task elements you need to click on the pencil icon. ![]() Then the dialog box switches into editing mode and the different elements can be edited. ![]() Edit task description
You can directly edit the task description. ![]() Change due date
In order to change the due date you need to click on the date. Then a mini calendar appears where you need to select the new due date. ![]() In Google Calendar you can even set a due time. First you need to un-check the "All-day" option and then select a time from the drow-down list. Yet please be aware that the due time is not synchronized to Orgraniseme since this is not offered by Google. As a result, the due time is overwritten with the next automatic synchronization from Organiseme - latest after 10 minutes. ![]() So for tasks synchronized from Organiseme the "All-day" option is the best. ![]() Task note
You can direclty enter a note for the task or change an existing note. ![]() Change task list
You can move the task to another Organiseme task list. Just click on the current task list. Then a pop-up menu is opened where all your Organiseme task lists should be listed, together with at least one Google Task task list. By selecting another Organiseme task list you directly move the task to this list. Please do not move the task to a non-Organiseme task list. This change will not be synchronized to Organiseme, and so in Organiseme the task is still assigned to the former task list. This might lead to synchronization issues for this task. ![]() Save changes
Finally you need to confirm all changes by pressing on the "Save" button. Then the dialog box with the task's details closes and you have saved the changes your just performed on the task. ![]() Complete task
In order to complete a task in Calendar you need to open the task details. There is a button in the right bottom corner that says "Mark complete". When pressing the button the task description in the task displayed in Calendar will be striked-though. Still you need to close the dialog box with the task's details. ![]() For completed tasks the button turns into "Mark incomplete" - so by pressing the button you can always set a completed task back to incomplete. ![]() Delete task
In order to delete a task you need to open the task details and click on the trash can icon in the upper right corner. When you click on the icon the dialog box closes and the task is directly deleted. ![]() All changes synchronized to Organiseme
All the changes on tasks that have been originally created in Organiseme and synchronized to Google Calendar are automatically synchronized back to your Organiseme account. ![]() With this you can edit, complete or delete tasks in Google Calendar that have been originally synchronized from Organiseme - and which are automatically synchronized to Organiseme. So you can manage your tasks with due date even in Google Calendar, togehter and in alignment with your Calendar events. |
