Support pages - Collaborate with Others

Organiseme supports you in collaborating with others - either within your family, your team or within your company. In Organieme the people you collaborate with are called contacts. These are other Organiseme users. There is a dedicated section in the web application and smartphone app where you manage your contacts. Contacts are synchronized between the web application and the mobile apps.

Build up your contact base

You can search in the Organiseme user base whether the person you want to collaborate with is already an Organiseme user. In case you find the person you need to sent the person a contact requests. Once the person has confirmed your contact request, you can start to assign tasks to each other and share task and shopping lists.

In case you did not find the person in the Organiseme user base please drop him a mail to encourage the person to register with Organiseme - or you assign the person a task.

Assign task to others

You can assign a task to another person - either to one of your Organiseme contacts or to any person. Just enter the name of the contacts or the email addresses of the non-contact in the dialog box. You can even enter a message to the recipient.

GRAPHIC Dialogbox Assign task

When the person is not yet an Organiseme user then you just enter the email address - and the person will receive a mail with your task. Now the person can accomplish the tasks and provide you a feedback outside of Organiseme. Best would be the person registers with Organiseme with the same email you have send him the task. Then this person would automatically become your confirmed contact, and you could collaborate right away.

When assigning a task to an Organiseme contact this task will show up in the inbox of the person. Then the contact needs to decide whether he / she accepts or rejects the task. He might also send you a message.

Once the contact has accepted the task it will become part of one of the contacts task lists. The contact has the following options:

You can still do the following actions even for a task you have assigned to another person

We believe in the idea that a task should only be assigned to one person in order to ensure a clear responsibility for the task. That is why you can assign a task only to one contact.

Share task lists

You can share a task lists with one or several of your contacts. Just enter the names of all contacts in the dialog box.

GRAPHIC Dialogbox Share task lists

Then the task lists will appear as part of your contacts task lists. These contacts can see all the tasks in this list and can complete or delete them - sure they can also add further tasks.

In case a contact has reached already the maximum number of 5 task lists for normal users your contact will be notified to either delete one of his task lists or upgrade to Organiseme Premium in order to see the task list shared with him.

Exchange messages

You can also exchange messages with your contacts. There are two types of messages:

Task related messages

For all tasks that you have assigned to one of your contacts, or that your received from one of your contacts, you can exchange messages that are directly linked to this task. You can initiate this messages by opening the task menu. Then your contact will be notified. The message can be displayed underneath the task description, just click on the message icon in the task.

General messages

You can also send a task a message that is not task related. In the contacts page you need to select your contact ouf of a drop down, then write the text - and send it off. Again your contact will be notified about a new message.
